Flying over Arkaroola en route to Western Australia, I was fascinated by the patterns of clouds drifting over the desert. I explored the idea of a painting using watercolour, and digitally manipulated it in various ways. Converting it to a negative turned the arid landscape a verdant green, and the sky into a sunset blaze. I painted this response in acrylic.
