the ford at scoutland

Road trips to Far North Queensland create some of my favourite memories. In this roadside scene just south of Townsville, ripe storm clouds swirl over the ubiquitous sugar cane, with the heat and humidity palpable. A sign entreats you to devour cool tropical fruit as a welcome relief.
